Constitutional court judge responds to Plenković and Staničić: Some of us have significantly more experience

Constitutional Court judge Andrej Abramović rejected Prime Minister Plenković’s accusations of obstructing the court’s work, citing his 30 years of experience.
Abramović stated that forming judicial panels cannot be premature until the outcome of the election of new judges is known.
He emphasized that the Constitutional Court is functioning and decisions were made at a professional meeting.
He warned that forming only one merits panel would reduce the number of resolved cases by up to 300 per year.
He advocated for waiting until the end of the judge election process to agree on rotation criteria for panels.
He expressed hope that three new constitutional judges would be elected on May 15.
