EU imposes sanctions on those responsible for deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia

EU foreign ministers imposed sanctions on 16 individuals and 7 legal entities responsible for illegal deportations and forced assimilation of Ukrainian children.
It is estimated that Russia has deported nearly 20,500 Ukrainian children since the start of the aggression, a serious violation of international law.
Sanctioned persons have their assets frozen, and individuals are banned from traveling to the EU.
A high-level meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children will be held in Brussels, co-chaired by Kaja Kallas, Marta Kos, Andrii Sybiha, and Anita Anand.
