• The European Commission has positively assessed Austria’s fourth payment request for €325 million under the NextGenerationEU recovery plan.
  • The funds are intended to support reforms and investments in zero-emission vehicles, renewable energy, education, culture, and innovation.
  • The plan supports the installation of 17,800 photovoltaic systems on homes, the purchase of 2,767 zero-emission buses and 167 trucks, and green investments in 13,500 companies.
  • Funds will also go to 240,000 laptops and tablets for schoolchildren and digital research infrastructure at universities.
  • Austria’s total recovery plan is worth around €4 billion, aiming to make Europe more sustainable, digital, and crisis-resilient.
