- Minister of Environment Marija Vučković presented a €650 million plan for green transition, funded by the sale of CO2 emission units.
- Funds will be used through the Modernisation Fund and the Social Climate Plan to lower citizens’ energy bills and promote sustainable production.
- The EU ETS system has reduced emissions in Croatia by over 40% since 2005, aiming for decarbonisation without reducing production.
- The plan is currently in public consultation for the 2026-2030 period.
